Forbes’ 2025 annual list honours the world’s most impactful marketing leaders—the ones who are redefining the role of the modern CMO through brand innovation, data-led strategy, and cultural resonance.

World’s Most Influential CMOs List

Forbes announced the World’s Most Influential CMOs List for 2025 at Cannes, where the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity was held in June 2025. 

This annual list honours the world’s most impactful marketing leaders who are redefining the role of the modern strategic CMO in achieving success for the brand.

The ranking is based on a rigorous evaluation of digital engagement, campaign effectiveness, brand and community engagement, media visibility and business impact.

The Man of Honour

Shubhranshu Singh, Vice President & CMO, Tata Motors' Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, has been recognised in Forbes' elite list of the World's Most Influential CMOs, placing him among the most influential voices in global marketing today.
He's one of just two Indian CMOs listed this year, along with Sumit Virmani of Infosys.

Singh’s Achievements


Forbes lauded Singh for making commercial-vehicle advertising a culturally relevant and digitally synced practice.

·   He moved from campaign-by-campaign advertising to an "always-on" AI-powered engine, abetted by a Salesforce-fueled customer-data platform analysing 80+ points of data on 150,000+ profiles.

·   His regional storytelling via influencers in 11 Indian languages helped make trucks more relatable in daily life.

·       With Singh at the helm, Tata CV's YouTube channel took off—now having more than 1 million subscribers and 450 million views and also winning the YouTube Gold Creator Award. 

·   Singh's introduction of the four-wheeler electric cargo vehicle, Tata Ace EV, cemented Tata's first‑mover advantage in EV logistics.

·   Singh also transformed media buying—using blockchain for security against fraud and adopting a fixed‑ratio, programmatic ad-buy across Meta, Google, and aggregator platforms. These were converted into real numbers: 11% YoY revenue growth in FY2024 for Tata Motors CVBU.

·   Boosting his international presence, Singh was selected to the first-ever board of the Effie LIONS Foundation, a New York-based non-profit guiding underrepresented marketing stars from India and South Asia.
