Dubai Tourism
The Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Visit Dubai), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), has unveiled a new marketing campaign titled ‘Find Your Story’ to promote the city to new international audiences.
The Collab
Globally renowned actor, businesswoman and UNICEF Global Ambassador Millie Bobby Brown and her husband, actor, model and producer Jake Bongiovi, will shine together on the screen for the very first time in this latest brand film campaign. The two astonishing icons from the world of entertainment will be highlighting the travel experiences available in Dubai, including all the short stopovers.
The new Dubai Tourism campaign is launching in 21 international markets and will also be promoted across digital platforms, TV, cinema halls, Out-of-home (OOH) displays, and social media. In India, the campaign is running on top digital platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
From the stunning desert landscapes and futuristic hi-tech architecture, to Dubai’s extravaganza shopping and culturally rich heritage, the campaign highlights the experiences that Dubai has to offer on a stopover. The campaign is written and co-directed by Argentine Armando Bo. His compatriot Felipe Gomez Aparicio has also served as a co-director on the film.
Issam Kazim, the CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, Visit Dubai, expressed this: “Our market strategy and creative campaigns have always been pivotal in showcasing Dubai to the rest of the world. We will continue to leverage strong partnerships with stars from the entertainment world to further boost the city’s allure to international visitors. With Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi as the leads of the ‘Find Your Story’ campaign, we will not only resonate with a broader demographic but also highlight Dubai’s tourism offerings with something for everyone. We are confident that the ad film’s narrative will inspire travellers to explore their own Dubai stopover into an exciting adventure.”
As per Bobby Brown, “Dubai is such a global city and very different from the places he has ever been to. For him, Dubai is a sum of many different places, all in one city.”
The Dubai 'Script' plot
The short film begins at Dubai International (DXB) Airport, where Brown and Bongiovi have a few hours to spare before their next flight. They notice a magical movie script, which inspires them for an extraordinary journey to explore during their stopover. Shot at various locations across Dubai, this will be a ‘portal to their new story’.
As the journey unfolds, the ‘Dubai script’ leads them to the enthralling alleyways of the Al Seef district, the contemporary architecture of the Museum of the Future and Burj Khalifa, and the wonderful dunes of the Al Qudra desert. The excitement reaches its peak as the script guides them into a series of mysterious adventures. The audiences are left spellbound and eager to discover where their own Dubai story will take them. The film concludes with a dramatic and exciting ending, leaving the audience in awe and anxiousness to unfold the next episode, and how Dubai will continue to surprise its travellers with new upcoming adventures, inviting visitors to continue the story.
The Motive
Dubai's new tourism ad campaign is basically designed to inspire tourists to follow in the paths of Brown and Bongiovi and create their own stories and memories while in Dubai. With international connectivity and miscellaneous tourist attractions, the campaign emphasises Dubai as the perfect destination for a stopover.
